JoRene and Harvey met while attending Weber State University. She was immediately smitten by his beautiful blue eyes, his tall physique, and his innate concern for others, while he was enamored with her gorgeous smile, spirituality, and caring personality. They were married in the Logan, Utah LDS temple on March 8th, 1974.
Throughout their marriage they have had the privilege of living in a variety of places, making lots of different friends, and creating a community wherever they have lived. For the last 35 years Preston, Idaho, has been their home.
JoRene is a dedicated and much-beloved piano teacher, as well as a fixture in the FCMC auxiliary organization. She dedicates a great deal of her time to helping and serving others. Harvey celebrated his 27-year tenure at IFA and now enjoys being retired. He loves working in his enviable garden, tutoring math students at PHS, and completing the never-ending list of DIY projects on their home.
Above all else, JoRene and Harvey cherish the legacy they have created through their posterity. They have 8 children, 25 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. They are incredibly dedicated and loving grandparents, spending as much time as possible with their grandkids, who lovingly refer to them as Grammie and Papa.
Mom and Dad, thank you for setting such an unparalleled example of love, commitment, and humor (even through unfathomably difficult times) for everyone around you. We are beyond blessed to celebrate this milestone with you and to share in your joy.
